New images from the set of the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders revival have revealed Jamie Bell in his new lead role, sporting the unmistakable, razor-sharp period haircut that defined the legacy of Thomas Shelby.
From Billy Elliot to Duke Shelby: The New Face of the Gang
Jamie Bell, 40, has officially taken the mantle from Cillian Murphy. Bell will portray Duke Shelby, the oldest son of Tommy Shelby, in a story set a decade after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
Spotted on the Birmingham set, Bell looked every bit the Shelby leader, wearing a sharp three-piece suit, a navy long coat, and a striking fedora. The 1950s setting was evident as he arrived in a vintage Jaguar at a building marked 'Shelby Construction', signaling the family's evolution into the post-war industrial era.
The 1950s: Teddy Boys and New Danger
Creator Steven Knight confirmed that this new chapter will explore Birmingham rising from the ashes of the Blitz. The series will jump forward into the 1950s a time characterized by the rise of violent Teddy Boy gangs and the infamous Kray twins in London.
